Regarding Linda Gough
Linda has worked tirelessly on behalf of children with special educational needs and disabilities in our school in both her capacity as a governor and friend to parents. She serves as an advocate to the children's parents/carers supporting them to play a key role in their learning. This has had a huge impact not only on their achievement but has enabled parents/carers to be fully included in the wider school community. We all owe her a huge debt of gratitude for her amazing tenacity and care.
Parents Need is an important service and one that will be very much needed in our society today.
We will certainly be using Linda and her services in the future.

Re: Linda Gough
As an educational consultant, with a focus on Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning, I have worked with young people in both primary and secondary settings for the last 10 years, what has become more and more apparent is that there is a gap in the support that is offered to families of young people whose parents have learning difficulties.
The guidance and support that Linda has provided to many families has closed that gap and enabled families to give the support to their own children. Linda has a wealth of experience and that, teamed with her passion and the genuine need to give every child and their families a voice within the education system, truly moves mountains. The mountains that parents can sometimes feel they are climbing within the education system, with Linda's support no summit is out of reach.

To whom it may concern
Parents with SEND needs face particular challenges when working with schools to ensure the long term prosperity of their children. They benefit immensely from specific, bespoke support to help them engage effectively with schools. Linda Gough was able to provide this essential support for a number of families at Woodbridge High School.
This involved Linda being an advocate for both the parent and the pupils involved, attending a range of support meetings, being an effective liaison between school and home and working with the school in her capacity as school governor to champion the needs of all pupil and parent groups.
Linda’s interventions had a significant impact, not only on the progress of pupils but also on parent engagement levels. We will most definitely be using Linda’s services again in future.

Regarding Linda
Linda has been a friend and neighbour of mine for the past 15 years. During this time I have noticed her continuous work with regard to helping both SEN and Non-SEN children and their parents. Linda has also assisted me with getting the best available support for my own child who has dyslexia.
I have been working as a childminder for the past 11 years and during this time I have come across many parents and children. Through Linda I have been able to understand the various different problems that both parents and children face and need support with. I have also come to appreciate the difficulties that are encountered when they are trying to find the appropriate support.
I have known Linda to go the extra mile for other friends and families in the community. For example, Linda has supported Katie and her family for many years and still continues to do so. This began during Katie’s time at Primary School extending right up until she left Secondary School and beyond. Linda provided academic help to Katie whilst simultaneously offering practical assistance to both Katie and her family.
I am grateful to Linda for all the help and support that she has provided to both me and my son. I am confident that this view is shared by many other families who have also benefited from her support.
